Mission Forward
Partnering with veteran-owned businesses, one story at a time.
The Why
Most service members leave the service with a vision for what they want to build next. Very few leave with a marketing budget that can support it. We know what that gap looks like from the inside, because we've stood in it.
Mission Forward is how we put our capability where our values are. A few times a year, we partner with a veteran-owned small business to build a piece of video that helps them get traction. Not a logo bumper. Not a quick social clip. A real production, designed around what the business actually needs.
What It Isn't
This isn't free video. It isn't a marketing favor. It isn't a giveaway.
The businesses we partner with through Mission Forward come to the project with skin in the game. The commercial terms are different than our standard production, and they vary by project, but every partner participates in the work. That's part of how we know it'll be used after we leave.
What We Look For
We aren't picking by sob story. We're picking by signal.
The veteran small businesses we partner with tend to share three things:
A clear product or service that's already in market.
Not a pitch deck. Not a concept. Something a customer can buy today.
An owner who's prepared to participate.
This work goes better when the business owner is on camera, telling the story, and willing to be specific about what they do.
A story worth telling.
Either the business itself, the founder's path, or the customer it serves. Something we can build a real piece of work around.
What You Get
A production designed around your business, not around what's cheap to produce. Full pre-production, shoot, and post. Pre-production includes the same discovery process every commercial client gets. The work is yours to use however you want, with no licensing strings.
We share the work publicly when the partner agrees, and most do. That's part of how the program continues.
How It Works
| Step 1. Apply | You tell us about the business, what you're trying to do with it, and why now |
|---|---|
| Step 2. Conversation | If it looks like a fit, we get on a call. No pitch, no pressure |
| Step 3. Terms | We propose project terms specific to your situation. You decide whether they work |
| Step 4. Production | If we move forward, we run the same production process we run for every client |
| Step 5. Launch | We finish the work, you put it to use, and we share it publicly when you're ready |
